Word Smith ... Dream Fisher ... History Miner Jeffrey Dunn lives in Spokane, Washington, among the towering ponderosa pines and Douglas firs of the Inland Northwest, above the meanderings of the Little Spokane River, and below the basalt cliffs of Five Mile Prairie. Back in his Pittsburgh days, he earned a PhD in English Literature and Cultural Studies but later moved West to raise a family. After retiring from forty-one years of teaching, he now walks, thinks, and writes longer works of highly acclaimed place-based fiction and shorter works of cultural criticism.
